run over

wéet’u ʔitúune ʔiméesne ʔesóoyam’qawn.
(no/not..thing-OBJ..deer-OBJ..run over it)
‘I haven’t run over any deer.’ (spoken by cáʔyaw Eugene John)

In this classic transitive construction, the OBJ specification thing/deer is in agreement with the verb. What is most interesting is the verb itself.

ʔesóoyam’qawn.
ʔe- (3rd Person OBJ) + súuye- 'pushing, driving, with an implement + am’qawn 'pick up'
'run over it'

My colleague and friend cáʔyaw Noel Rude often describes prefix /ʔe-/ to indicate "a 3rd person direct object in a transitive verb when the subject is 1st or 2nd person." (CTUIR Nez Perce Glossary, n.d.).

This would make a good practice verb!
